Lucky Thompson's message, from past to present

I'm a great fan of Eli 'Lucky' Thompson, the tenor saxophonist who played with Charlie Parker when he had the sextet with a young Miles Davis, as well as being in Monk's band: the rarely mentioned early adopter of the soprano saxophone, with a clear, unwavering intonation: and, from the sounds of this recording, a soulful man that cared, genuinely cared about music.

Please give this a listen, especially after a minute-and-a-half, and think about what he says. Still very relevant today, and inspirational.
