How the Vibraphone is a Mouth

Corey Mwamba will present his research as a reflection of his vibraphone practice. This practice, which is rooted in jazz practical philosophies, considers the vibraphone as an analogue to the mouth. Through performance, research reading, and prose, this presentation hopes to provoke new ways of thinking about personal sound on the vibraphone in jazz and improvised music instrument.
