DECO HEART is a stunning duo with New York violist Mat Maneri, who I've worked with in The Bearded Gentlemen [me, Mat, Andy Champion and George Burt] and at London Jazz Festival; and Romanian pianist Lucian Ban who has been described as "playing with a sensibility and fluency that recalls Vladimir Horowitz as much as McCoy Tyner".
They're doing two dates: one in London with Evan Parker, and the other in Newcastle. This is their only other date in the U.K. and I'll be joining them for the second set.
All this combined with the fantastic acoustics of the Voicebox - one of the best acoustic spaces in the country - and it all adds up to a special evening of music.
There's no bar at the Voicebox, so if you want to drink alcohol, bring your own.
